Singapore, 21 October 2013 – Everlast-sponsored mixed martial artist (MMA) Sherilyn Lim from Singapore defeated her Malaysian opponent, Ann Osman, in her debut at ONE Fighting Championship™ (ONE FC). ONE FC: Total Domination was held on 18 October 2013 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The heavily-anticipated contest was filled with exhilarating action that lasted all three rounds. Possessing a better offense and scoring heavily with ground-and-pound, Sherilyn eventually brought home the victory with a split decision by the judges’ scorecards.
“I’m having mixed feelings right now – happy and definitely relieved. I worked so hard and the results really paid off. I’m just thankful that I’m came out in one piece, which means nothing crazy has happened,” Sherilyn expressed candidly after the match.
There is nothing that could distract this MMA fighter, who proudly claims that she fights like a ninja. One of her strengths lies in her tough state of mind before and during the match as her mental game plan has always been to remain focused on the sole task of defeating her opponent in the ring. In fact, she was so focused on her fight that she did not even remember what happened during her debut ONE FC match.
On top of managing MMA gym, Fight G, Sherilyn trained six hours a days for six days a week with a regime that included strength and conditioning workout and a strict diet.
Despite her win, Sherilyn insisted that there are still a lot of work that needs to be done to improve her craft and she looks forward to review a video of her fight performance.
